Privacy Policy for Brave Adblock CDP Debugger

This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. All code runs client-side on the user’s device.

What the extension does

The extension attaches Chrome’s DevTools Protocol debugger to a tab you choose and displays the adblock engine verdicts that Brave reports for each network request, so you can inspect what was blocked, allowed, or rewritten.

Data collection

• The extension does not transmit any browsing data anywhere.
• The extension does not collect any personal or identifying information.
• The extension does not send any data to external or third-party servers.
• Captured adblock events are held only in memory while the tab is open and are discarded when you clear them, detach the debugger, or close the tab. The only value written to local storage is the on/off state of the auto-attach and preserve-events settings.

Permissions

• debugger: attaches the DevTools Protocol to the tab you select in order to receive Brave’s per-request adblock information. Chromium displays a banner whenever the debugger is attached.
• tabs: reads the active tab’s id and URL so events are shown for the right page and so auto-attach can act on navigation.
• storage: remembers whether the auto-attach and preserve-events options are enabled.
